About the Ruckus
The Ruckus started back in 2009 as a way to make better use of the new amphitheater at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds. Believe it or not, our first year we hosted Chris Young and Lee Brice as headliners before they hit the big time, and just look at them now! We wouldn't wager that we had anything to do with that, however the thought has crossed our minds.
Throughout the years we've had headliners like Chris Young, Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr., Big & Rich, Thomas Rhett, Rodney Atkins, Toby Keith, 38 Special, Chris Janson, and Jake Owen. Each one of them has put on a great show, and we hope everyone's loved it. As with every adventure, the longer you've been in it, the more experience you gain. We learn something new each year that we get the chance to improve on, and this past show was no different. We take pride in growing year after year and being a part of something that will contiue to be a staple festival in west central Iowa for years to come.
